MISSION – Pittsburgh Chapter
Our mission is to create lifelong cyclists through the sport of mountain biking. We aim to build strength and diversity in mountain biking with a safe, supportive and empowering atmosphere for women. With our outreach, advocacy and skills development program, we strive to redefine mountain biking for athletes of all ages and skills so that they may become positive ambassadors for healthy living and the environment.
CORE VALUES
- Cooperation - Compliment and participate with existing cycling community, through regional organizations, businesses, clubs, and independent groups.
- Diversity - Build strength in the community by providing new opportunities for women and girls in rides, meetings and leadership.
- Creativity - Mountain biking is supposed to be fun, and despite a lot of footwork in between, it all starts and ends with researching new ideas.
- Education - Use professional coaching and safety training to provide workshops, clinics and guidance to increase confidence, versatility and understanding of trails.
- Relationships - Listen to and empower mountain bike community, land managers and mountain bikers to develop lasting liaisons and partnerships to share sustainable goals.
