BTCEB Gala ride

11:24 am

This month, the BTCEB held their monthly Gala ride at Redwood and Joaquin Miller Parks. I knew we couldn’t stay for the length of the event, as the day was packed with events – so we improvised our loop to return sooner. Nonetheless, it was great to see such a large group (about 30 people) split into 3, still large, groups of different pace. We joined the B group for the first part of our ride- a very social group heading up Graham trail from the Trudeau center.

Here’s the map, which is linked to the Motionbased dashboard for the event.

There’s a new deputy in town. SF Urban Riders is a group of mountain biking trail advocates interested in increasing awareness about access issues in the San Francisco area.  Using support from local and international organizations, SFUR is quickly building momentum as well as bike stunts.  With donations from Wheels of Justice, and a handful of volunteers – dozes of kids were able to ride bikes in a safe, controlled environment and develop their skills.

“TFK Israel-SRBC was created on the foundation of the community group, the Samson Riders Bicycle Club (SRBC). One of SRBC’s exceptional programs, Riding for Co-Existence, brings Israeli Jewish and Arab youth together to ride, learn about each other, break down social barriers, discover new interests and respect the land.”
